COMPLIANCE & LEGAL BOUNDARIES

Compliance & Legal Boundaries

MedTravel China (Chinese: 医旅中国) is a provider of cross-border medical information, consultation and treatment-coordination services, operating on the principles of neutrality, transparency and compliance. To help patients and their families form expectations that reflect reality, this page sets out clear boundaries on the nature of our services, medical decision-making, fees and legal liability.

1. Platform Nature & Scope of Services

The platform provides information and coordination services, including medical record organization and medical translation, referral to appropriate hospital departments, treatment coordination and follow-up continuity. It does not perform online diagnosis, issue prescriptions or provide treatment. All platform staff are certified medical-travel coordination specialists and medical interpreters serving international patients; they do not issue diagnostic conclusions in place of licensed physicians. All treatment decisions, risk disclosure and clinical billing are made and executed independently by the partner public Class-A tertiary hospitals.

2. Hospitals Decide Independently on Acceptance & Treatment

Whether a case is accepted, which physician takes the case, and which treatment plan is adopted are all decided independently by the hospital and physicians concerned, based on the patient's actual condition, examination indicators and Chinese clinical diagnosis and treatment guidelines. The platform makes no promise that any case will be accepted, that any disease will be cured, or that a specific physician will take the case. Any claims of being able to "arrange a VIP bed in a Class-A tertiary hospital" or "guarantee a complete cure" are unrelated to the platform, and we welcome reports of such claims.

3. Fee Boundaries

  • check_circleThe platform coordination service fee is a fixed USD 300 per case (covering translation and record organization, hospital coordination, the treatment planning letter and related work), with no markup or commission charged at any stage;
  • check_circleRegistration, examination, surgery, hospitalization and medication fees at the hospital are paid directly by the patient at the hospital's official counters or through its corporate accounts; the platform does not collect such funds on the patient's behalf, hold them in custody or operate any fund pool;
  • check_circleFlights, accommodation and other travel arrangements are chosen independently by the patient from third-party providers; the platform does not require any bundled purchase.

4. Visas & Entry into China

The platform assists in preparing compliant supporting materials, such as hospital letters supporting a medical visa application. However, the embassies and consulates of the People's Republic of China abroad hold independent discretion over visa approval and admission to China, and the platform cannot influence or guarantee the outcome or timing of any decision. All certificates submitted to embassies, consulates and customs are issued truthfully by the partner hospitals; the platform does not arrange false documents or help circumvent port quarantine inspection.

5. Accuracy of Information

Information on this website about hospital qualifications, departments and specialists is drawn from publicly verifiable sources and is updated on an ongoing basis; the definitive scope of acceptance and treatment is the latest official announcement of the hospital concerned. The platform bears no responsibility for the independent conduct of third-party websites.

6. Complaints & Oversight

If you become aware of any exaggerated claims about treatment outcomes, false promises or irregular charging practices, please report them to the supervision and reporting email vip@chinamedtourist.com or the hotline +86 13702335733. This statement is updated together with the platform's latest public notices; the specific rights and obligations of the parties are governed by the International Patient Cross-Border Medical Coordination Service Agreement signed between them.
