Medical Treatment Costs in China: Transparent & Compliant
We hold one uncompromising principle: the boundary between our service fee, the hospital's direct medical charges, and your own travel and living costs is always drawn clearly. No hidden charges, no gray-area markups — every dollar an international patient pays stays traceable to the account that legitimately receives it.
Three Fee Streams, Clearly Itemized
Every gray zone of cross-border care is removed: who collects each payment, what it covers, and when it is due are strictly defined.
One standardized service, defined precisely by name, purpose and scope: created for the cross-border pre-review of overseas patients' records and precise specialist routing.
- 1. Standardized organization of your medical records: your scattered overseas lab reports and discharge summaries are restructured to meet the outpatient and inpatient record requirements of China's national Class-A tertiary hospitals.
- 2. Authoritative bilingual (Chinese-English) medical translation: specialists with medical backgrounds accurately translate pathology indicators, imaging descriptions and medication histories.
- 3. Precise department and specialist matching at a Class-A tertiary hospital: based on your disease stage, your case is routed to a leading expert at a national regional medical center for an initial admission assessment and bed-availability study.
- 4. Dedicated 1-on-1 medical coordination manager: responsive across time zones, assisting throughout with supplementary documents, scheduling advice and treatment questions.
The fee is collected together with your case form submission (secure PayPal accepted). If the initial review finds that your records genuinely cannot meet the hospital's assessment requirements, the platform refunds this fee in full through the original payment channel.
Once you arrive in China and are admitted, the Chinese Class-A tertiary hospital issues its own official invoices based on your actual follow-up test results, pathology stage, implant selection (e.g., imported or domestic joint prostheses), medication plan, and ICU or ward days.
You or your family pay the hospital's official account directly — by UnionPay international card, international wire transfer, or on-site WeChat Pay/Alipay — so no funds ever rest in an intermediary account.
Covers your international journey and basic living support during treatment in China. You freely choose the airline and hotel to fit your budget, while MedTravel China can recommend compliant medical-escort and accommodation resources in the Greater Bay Area.
- pin_drop Official medical visa fees: collected at regulated rates directly by Chinese embassies/consulates abroad or official visa application centers.
- airplane_ticket International round-trip flights: booked by you directly with the commercial airline; MedTravel China can provide a recommended appointment-timing note.
- apartment Hotels / apartments in Guangzhou: three- to five-star senior-friendly apartments near the hospital (approx. USD 45 - 120 / night), settled by the day.
- translate Optional on-site medical interpretation: professional medical interpreting for outpatient visits, ward rounds and consent signings — available on a per-day basis.
You keep full freedom to book your own transport and accommodation — nothing is tied to ground tours or overpriced designated hotels.
Why rigorous medicine can't be sold as a fake "all-inclusive" price
Human physiology and the course of disease are deeply individual. Any responsible national key clinical specialty in China must re-verify your baseline after you arrive — re-reading pathology slides, reconstructing 3D CT volumes, re-testing drug-resistance genes. A fake "one-price covers everything" deal usually hides shortcuts: cheaper implants, skipped examinations, or charges quietly added mid-treatment. We choose to state the influencing variables in advance — that is what protecting scientific integrity really means.
Service Boundaries & the Anti-Overpromise Code
Medicine rests on compassion; trust rests on honesty. We bind our words and actions to written contracts and industry standards — and firmly say no to the misleading excesses of medical marketing.
What We Firmly Guarantee
Before you pay the USD 300 coordination fee, we tell you exactly which services it includes; for anticipated hospital fees we provide range estimates and explain in advance what could change them.
MedTravel China stays strictly neutral as a coordinator. We take no part in the sourcing, resale or sales commissions of any medical devices, targeted drugs or implants — every medical charge is settled by you directly at the hospital's own listed prices.
We issue an invoice/receipt for the service fee that complies with cross-border tax norms, and guide you on keeping and checking the hospital's official medical charge slips and itemized statements.
What We Will Never Promise
Medicine is highly complex and always individual. We refuse unlawful promotional language such as "100% cure" or "risk-free treatment." The final word belongs to the clinical assessment of the Class-A tertiary hospital's specialists.
We will never lure you with an unrealistically low flat price up front and then invent extra charges later. Instead, we honestly list the variable cost factors at every stage of treatment.
We never ask you to transfer large surgery deposits or treatment payments into any personal account or an agency's private account. All clinical payment flows strictly follow the financial-management regulations of the receiving public Class-A tertiary hospital.
